How to read the Blooming Flopside Schedule
Plan your days in minutes: highlights first, full session times next, and the key deadlines you’ll want on your calendar before you arrive.

A quick map for your week · updated regularly
The schedule is built to be scanned, not studied. Start with the key dates (arrival, opening circle, main workshops, community showcase, and departure), then drill into each day for start times, locations, and any capacity notes. If a session is marked as “studio hours,” it’s flexible—come and go as your projects need. If it’s a “workshop,” plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can begin together. Times may shift slightly as artists finalize demos and shared spaces; we’ll post the latest updates here so you can plan with confidence.
“Bring a plan—then leave room for the unexpected collaborations.”
To make the most of the week, choose one anchor event per day (a workshop, critique circle, or evening program) and keep the rest of your schedule light. That balance leaves space for open studios, spontaneous skill shares, and the conversations that tend to become the best part of the gathering. Traveling in? Build in buffer time for check-in and parking, and double-check any events labeled “off-site.” When updates happen, we’ll reflect them in this calendar first, then share a note in announcements.
If you’re attending with friends or a group, use the schedule as a shared reference and decide your meet-up points ahead of time—especially around lunch and evening events. Prefer a quieter pace? Block off recovery time and treat studio hours as your home base. However you plan it, the goal is simple: spend less time coordinating and more time making work, meeting people, and leaving with new momentum.

Timing, Tracks & What to Expect
Use the calendar as your quick guide, then check these answers for common timing and logistics questions—check-in, session flow, breaks, and how updates are shared if anything shifts.
Most sessions are first-come, first-seated—no separate signup required. A few limited-capacity workshops may use a sign-up list or ticketed RSVP; those will be clearly labeled on the Schedule page with instructions and any materials fee.
Plan to arrive 30–45 minutes before the first scheduled session you want to attend. That gives you time for check-in, badge pickup, and getting oriented. Exact check-in hours for each day are listed on the Schedule page.
Most sessions run 60–90 minutes with short buffers between blocks for transitions, quick breaks, and room resets. Longer workshops and community meals are listed with their full time windows so you can plan your day.
Overlaps happen by design so you can choose what fits your focus. If a session is repeated, the schedule will note it. Otherwise, feel free to arrive early, then quietly step out between segments to catch part of another session when possible.
Small changes can happen due to travel or weather. When they do, we’ll update the Schedule page first and post a short announcement with the same details. On-site, look for posted notices at check-in for day-of adjustments.
Yes. The schedule includes dedicated meal breaks plus unstructured blocks for rest, open studio, informal meetups, and making time. If you’re planning around accessibility or energy needs, those blocks are the best anchors for pacing your day.
